What Is the Eligibility Criteria?

Additional Requirements & Provisions
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or institution.
- Open to all streams: Admission to the BBA LLB and B.Com LLB programmes is open to students from Science, Commerce and Arts.
- Awaiting results: If your 10+2 results are pending, you may apply provisionally. Final admission is subject to submission of proof of qualification at the time of final admission.
- Age: Age eligibility is strictly maintained as per the prevailing Bar Council of India (BCI) norms.
- Selection basis: Final admission may be granted based on Kerala State Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) scores or on a merit basis, depending on the seat quota (Merit or Management).
- Scholarships: Eligible students will be offered scholarships as per government and institutional rules.
Am I Eligible for Lateral Entry?
For students who wish to join mid-way, CFI College of Law offers a lateral entry pathway.
- Timeline: Applications for lateral entry into the 3rd Semester of both B.Com LLB and BBA LLB open from June 2026 onwards.
- Eligibility: To ensure a smooth credit transfer, applicants must be from another law college under the University of Calicut and currently enrolled in the same integrated programme.
How Many Seats Are Available and How Are They Allocated?
The 2026-27 intake at CFI College of Law is 60 seats each for the B.Com LLB and BBA LLB programmes.
- 30% of the total seats are reserved for government counselling and allotment.
- 70% are filled through the management and general quota.
All admissions follow the prevailing University of Calicut norms and college policies, ensuring a fair and competitive process for all applicants.
What Is the Step-by-Step Application Roadmap?
Securing your place at CFI College of Law follows a structured sequence. Once you have checked your eligibility, we recommend starting as early as possible so that your documentation is complete and verified.
- Prospectus & Application Form: Obtain the college prospectus, which contains the fee structure and campus guidelines, and the application form. Both are available online or at the college office.
- Document Preparation: Gather all required certificates before filling out the application. Organised records prevent delays at the submission stage.
- Application Submission: Complete the form accurately and submit it online or at the college office. Make sure your personal, academic and contact details are current.
- Interview & Counselling: After your application is reviewed, shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview or counselling session, a chance for the college to know you and for you to discuss your academic goals.
- Final Enrolment: After the interview, successful candidates receive a formal offer of admission. Enrolment is finalised on timely payment of fees and verification of original documents.
Once enrolment is complete, admitted students are invited to an orientation class where they meet the faculty and learn about campus facilities and their 2026-27 academic schedule.

Mandatory Documents (For All Candidates)
- Academic Records: Original mark sheets and certificates for Class 10 and Class 12, required to verify your age and eligibility.
- Transfer & Conduct: Your original Transfer Certificate (TC) and a valid Character/Conduct Certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
- Photographs: 4 recent passport-size photographs.
- Identity Proof: A valid Aadhaar, passport or voter ID card.
Additional Documents (If Applicable)
- Gap-year affidavit: For students who took a break after completing Class 12.
- Disability certificate: For differently-abled students seeking benefits.
- Sports/Excellence certificate: For students applying under the sports or special achievement quota.
